With God’s Favor, You Can’t Help But Prosper

May 29, 2011

I want to share my own personal comments on this for a second but I want us to think about the example of Joseph first.  Even when we are in bad situations, God will take us out of those situations and bring us to a place of great promotion, but it will not be the timing or way that we think it will be.

If we look at Joseph we will probably understand that he probably would have wanted God to never let him go through hard things.  Joseph I am sure wanted God to bless him radically in the beginning so trials and difficulties never had to be faced.  We know the end result is that Joesph was made into essentially the prime minister of Egypt.  As I will show you what happened and what God did for him, think of your own life.  Think of all the difficulties you have to go through.  Think about the story of Joseph and simply if you trust in God and praise Him that He will never leave you and will exalt you to a high place.  Your blessings are right around the corner of your circumstances.

If Joseph had not been betrayed by his brothers, he would not have been sold as a slave.  If he had not been sold as a slave, he would not have been in Potiphar’s house.  If he was not in Potiphar’s house, he would not have been thrown into an Egyptian prison meant specifically for the king’s prisoners.  If he was not in that specific prison, he would not have interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s officers.  If he had not interpreted their dreams, he would not have been summoned to interpret Pharaoh’s dream two years later.  If he had not interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, Pharaoh would not have promoted Joseph to become his prime minister over the entire Egyptian empire!

God wants to tell you today, “Don’t give up.  It ain’t over!”  Your lowest points and darkest circumstances can be the launching points of great things.  Trust in God!

though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again…   —   Proverbs 24:16

Your lowest points are launching pads to God’s greatest promotions.
