The Gospel Brings Health And Provision

May 24, 2011

Isn’t it amazing how we look at life and God when we start looking at things as we look at our children?  Unless someone reading this is just a horrible parent, deep down all parents want what is best for their children.  I want to use some examples below and then I want us to think about how God really looks at us.

As a parent, how would you teach your child character and patience?  With sicknesses and diseases?  Of course not!

How would you teach your children humility?  By cursing your child with poverty for the rest of his life?  No way!

Now isn’t amazing when things become crystal clear when we start thinking from the point of view of a parent, and put our own children in the picture?  God deals with us in the same way because He sees us from the point of relationship.

Get one thing straight today!  God abhors sickness and He loathes poverty.

We who are imperfect know how to give and want good things for our children so how much more will our Father in Heaven give us good things and provide for us?  Many people think God harms people to teach them a lesson in humility, character and patience, many people think He gives people poverty to teach the same things.  Friends this simply is not true!  Call it prosperity, call it whatever, whatever you call it, call it the Gospel.  The Gospel is full of prosperity and it is full of favor, joy, love and victory.  Settle it once in for all, God designed you to succeed and He created you to live in the finished work of His son.  A finished work is not something that can be added to or re-created, it is done, all He wants you to do is rest in that.  NO MORE!

If you ever doubt that simply put yourself in the position of how you look at your children and then realize the ability for the Lord to prosper your life and the want for His favor in your life is a infinitely more than what you have for your children.  Rest in that, rest in the finished work of Christ and be ready for a mind-blowing change in perception of life.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!   —   Matthew 7:11

In the same way that you want your children to always have more than enough, God wants you to enjoy His supernatural provision.
