Bring Jesus Into The Picture

May 23, 2011

When you begin to realize that God is always with you, when you read His Word it really comes alive.  It turns from obligation and a certain scripture plan you follow to wanting to spend time with Jesus.  When you realize He is with you, it ends up that your time in the Word is spending time with Him like a friend.  It goes as quickly as hanging out in a cafe, enjoying a latte with your best friends.  It is effortless and enjoyable as watching your favorite game with a bunch of guys.  Reading the Bible is no longer a chore and is rather done out of love and enjoyment, it is at that place where real intimacy with God takes place.

This is not limited to just your time in the Word.  When you involve Jesus in your life, He takes it and makes everything beautiful.  It is easy to involve Jesus or give Him praise during the good times but I want to encourage you to start involving Jesus during the tough times.  In your most challenging times, involve Jesus and He will put courage in your life, restoring you and removing all guilt and shame.  See the Lord holding you, gently healing your wounds.

Your past will not determine the future He has for you.  That is a promise for everyone, all the time.  When you involve the Lord he will turn the bitter situations (bitter water) into sweet results (sweet water).  You may not be able to avoid pain and suffering but if you involve the Lord He will be right there comforting you, restoring you and protecting you through the challenges.

So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree.  When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.   —   Exodus 15:25

Jesus makes everything beautiful in your life.
